The sequel to the 2002 film 28 Days Later, it stars Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, Jeremy Renner, Harold Perrineau, Catherine McCormack, Mackintosh Muggleton, Imogen Poots and Idris Elba. 28 Weeks Later is the 2007 sequel to the 2002 British horror film 28 Days Later, directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. It will also supposedly be set in Russia and I like all things Russian (Well not all things, but you get what I mean)īy the way, did anyone watch any of the mini-movies leading up to 28 Weeks? They were great and can still be found on YouTube. 28 Weeks Later is a 2007 post-apocalyptic horror film directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who co-wrote it with Rowan Joff, Enrique Lpez Lavigne and Jesus Olmo. Saying that, I am looking forward to 28 Months as it will have Danny Boyle directing it again (At least thats what I heard) and hopefully he can return it to its original greatness. 28 Days was a lot more gritty and 'real' if you ask me. 28 days later, Jim woke up and the entire city was empty due to an outbreak of the Rage Virus. While running a delivery to an address somewhere across the city, a car cut across Jims bike and caused him to crash, putting him into a coma. Don (Robert Carlyle) narrowly escaped the zombies by abandoning his wife Alice (Catherine McCormack) and others. The US Army is occupying London after the zombies have all supposedly died of starvation. Its basically 28 Days but with a lot less style and a lot more retarded moments. A bicycle courier who lived in Deptford, London with his parents. Its 28 weeks after the release of the virus and about 6 months after the first movie. The film focus on England rebuilding society with the help of the U.S. Set 28 weeks after the initial outbreak of the Rage virus from 28 Days Later.

The film was directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and was released in the United Kingdom and in the United States on May 11, 2007. Around the time Weeks was released, one of the guys from the film gave a talk at my university and briefly mentioned that the idea for the sequel was to be. Its a shame because the first 20 or so minutes (Where they are in the house and the guy does a runner) are great. 28 Weeks Later is a 2007 post-apocalyptic, science-fiction, horror film. Ridiculous scenes that come to mind (Haven't watched it in a while)- where that guy cuts all the infected up with his helicopter blades, the hoarding of everyone into that single room and the lack of defence around the only known survivor of the virus. I got the box-set with both 28 Weeks and 28 Days but to be honest I just wish I watched 28 Days and never saw 28 Weeks.Ģ8 Weeks had so much more potentual but they messed it up.
